Davao Bamboo Sanctuary and Ecological park is a 4-hectare property owned and developed by De Veyra-Nagar Corporation in 2009. The property blessed with natural springs, river, hills, plateau and bamboo groves was initially planned to be a vacation place for their family and friends. Later on, they decided to open the place to the public in 2017.

Davao Bamboo Sanctuary and Ecological Park aims to promote awareness on environmental preservation and nature’s way to mitigate the effects of global warming through the collection and use of bamboo. Studies have shown that bamboo produces 35% more oxygen compared to other plants and trees of the same height and absorbs 5% more carbon dioxide. In addition, bamboo prevents soil erosion and is good for water filtration. Davao Bamboo Sanctuary has a collection of approximately 30 bamboo species which they used for landscaping the area and as materials for most of their structures.

In addition, in their restaurant, they offer food from bamboo shoots like Dabong Atsara, Ginataang Dabong, Cookies with Dried bamboo shoots and others. Furthermore, Davao Bamboo Sanctuary and Ecological Park is also using the Black Soldier Fly Technology to convert food wastes to liquid fertilizer.

Aside from their advocacy, the main attraction of the place is the huge geodesic-designed Garden Dome which is perfect for photoshoots and serves as a venue for garden weddings, team-buildings and other events. They also have air-conditioned function halls and room accommodations for company events.
